What is GeoData?

GeoData is a business location data platform that gives you access to verified, enriched point-of-interest (POI) data for every cafe, bar, and restaurant in the United States. We don't just give you names and addresses -- we give you the contact information, social media profiles, and business details that make the data actually useful.

The Problem We Solve

If you've ever tried to build a list of restaurants in a specific state, or find the email addresses of coffee shop owners across the country, you know how painful it is. Public directories are incomplete. Web scraping is difficult to do at scale. Data brokers sell stale lists full of closed businesses and dead email addresses.

And even when you do get the data, actually working with it is its own challenge. A state like California has over 200,000 restaurant, cafe, and bar listings. Try opening that in Excel -- you'll hit row limits, freeze on every sort, and spend hours building pivot tables just to answer a basic question like "how many pizza restaurants in Los Angeles have an email address?" Spreadsheets weren't designed for datasets at this scale.

GeoData solves both of these problems.

AI-Powered Extraction

Finding contact information for 1.7 million businesses isn't something you can do with simple scripts or manual lookups. Every business website is different -- some have a clean "Contact Us" page, others bury their email in a footer, others only list it on an Instagram bio linked from a social icon. Before AI, extracting structured data from this kind of messy, inconsistent content was either inaccurate or impossibly slow.

GeoData uses AI models to read and understand each business's website the way a human would -- identifying real business emails versus login forms, distinguishing direct phone lines from fax numbers, and matching social handles to the correct platform. The AI also handles the cleaning layer: normalizing formats, deduplicating entries, and filtering out junk. This is what makes it possible to enrich 1.7 million records monthly with a level of accuracy that simply wasn't achievable in the pre-AI era.

A Platform Built for Scale

GeoData isn't just a file download -- it's a platform purpose-built for working with large location datasets. Behind the scenes, everything is optimized so you can search, filter, sort, and visualize hundreds of thousands of records instantly, right in your browser:

  • Geospatial visualization -- see every business in a state plotted on an interactive map, color-coded by category, with click-to-inspect details
  • Instant filtering -- narrow 200,000+ records by category, city, contact availability, or any text field in seconds
  • Sortable, paginated tables -- browse through massive datasets without any lag or loading
  • Filtered downloads -- export exactly the subset you need as a CSV, not the entire dataset

You don't need to know SQL. You don't need to set up a database. You don't need GIS software to visualize locations on a map. GeoData gives you all of that in a simple, browser-based interface that anyone on your team can use.
