Data Shop

The Data Shop is where you browse, explore, and select the business location data you want to purchase. It's organized by state, and every state comes with a detailed breakdown of what's inside -- plus an interactive data preview so you can see the actual locations on a map before you buy.

Browsing States

When you open the Data Shop, you'll see a grid of cards representing all 51 U.S. areas (50 states plus Washington D.C.). Each card shows:

• A map outline of the state
• The state name
• The total number of locations available
• The price (which adjusts dynamically based on how many states are in your cart)
• An "Add to Cart" button

You can search for a specific state by name or abbreviation using the search bar at the top, and sort the grid by location count (highest or lowest) or alphabetically.

When you have states in your cart, a volume discount banner appears at the top showing your current pricing tier and how many more states you'd need to unlock the next discount level.

State Detail Pages

Click any state card to see a detailed breakdown of that state's data. Each state page shows the total location count with a category breakdown (Restaurants, Cafes, Bars), contact information stats (how many records have emails, phones, websites, Instagram, Facebook), an expandable subcategory table with exact counts, and a sample data preview so you can see the format before purchasing.

Data Preview

Before you spend a dollar, GeoData lets you preview the actual data for any state on an interactive map. This is one of the most powerful features of the platform -- you can see exactly what you're buying.

How It Works

From any state detail page, click "Preview data" to open the interactive map preview. You can also reach it from the state map hover overlay.

The preview loads every business location in the state as an individual dot on a full-screen map:

• Green dots -- Restaurants
• Blue dots -- Cafes
• Orange dots -- Bars

You can zoom, pan, and explore the entire state. Hover over any dot to see:

• The business category (e.g., "Coffee Shop", "Pizza Restaurant")
• The city and state
• Which contact fields are available -- icons indicating whether that business has an email, phone, website, Instagram, or Facebook (without revealing the actual values)

This tells you the density, geographic distribution, and contact coverage of the data before you purchase.

Category Filters

The preview map includes a category filter panel where you can toggle categories and subcategories on and off. Want to see only Cocktail Bars? Uncheck everything else. Want to see the density of Coffee Shops vs. Pizza Restaurants? Toggle between them. This helps you evaluate whether the data matches your specific needs.
